Fort Point Studio School is close to Boston's major highways and easily
accessible by public transportation, including MBTA,
train, bus and water shuttle.
Driving from the North:
Take I-93 South to the Purchase Street/South Station
exit, Exit 23, and turn left onto Congress St. You may
find the Congress St. Bridge temporarily closed due to construction.
Take a right at the bridge and then an immediate left onto Summer St. Cross over the Summer St. Bridge. At the end of
the bridge turn right onto Melcher St. (Melcher St.
is a short curved street that ends at A Street). Turn
right onto A Street and you will see two large parking
lots – one on each side of the street. 249 A
Street is the first large brick building on the left
after you see the two lots. The building is at the intersection
of Wormwood and A Street. •

• At the 249 A St. entrance
you will find a buzzer. Dial 041 and I will buzz you
in. (If the buzzer doesn’t dial, press the # key
to reset the buzzer and try again. The studio is on
the 4th floor. There is an elevator at the back of the
building if you prefer not to use the stairs.
Driving from the South:
From I-93 North, take the South Station/ I-90, Exit 20. Follow signs to I-90E toward Logan Airport/South
Boston, once in the tunnel follow the signs to South
Boston. At the end of ramp get into the left lane and
take a left at the light onto Congress Street. Go straight
through one set of lights. At the second light, take
a left onto A. Street. (If you come to the Children’s
Museum or the Congress St. Bridge you’ve gone
too far). Once on A. Street…

turn left onto Congress St. Continue on Congress and

Take I-90 East toward Logan Airport. Get off at the
South Boston, Exit 25. Keep right towards West
Service Road. Take the first right onto West Service
Road. At the intersection of West Service Road/Congress
Street, turn left. At the first set of lights take a
left onto A. Street. (If you come to the Children’s
Museum or the Congress St. Bridge you’ve gone
too far). Once on A. Street…

Parking:
Discounted parking is available to
students registered for classes in the parking lot directly
across the street from the 249 A Street building. The parking lot entrances are located on Binford St. and Necco Ct. Once in the parking lot drive to the A Street and Binford St. corner of the lot. You will see the 249 A Street door across the street and a few feet north.
Limited street parking is available on Binford St. and Medallion St., (sometimes called New St. on maps).
Harbor Walk Parking:
For students participating in Art on the Walk courses and events - there are 6 Harbor Walk spaces available during evenings and weekends on Necco St. These spaces are designated in blue.

and cross over the Summer St. Bridge. At the end of
