Workshops are a wonderful way to jumpstart your creative process. You will have uninterrupted time to experiment with new materials and methods in a supportive environment. I teach Mixed Media/Collage and Water-based Printmaking for all levels. The classes are fast paced, hands on and collaborative. We learn from each other and the workshop group creates an energy that supports creativity.
In the Mixed Media workshop, we will be following ideas intuitively, using simple materials – acrylic paint, a variety of papers, and found objects. The Water-based Printmaking uses foam plates and water soluble ink with no press to achieve rich colors and textured surfaces. The art process is a journey, unpredictable much as is life. My monoprints are created through layering multiple plates inspired by the patterns and shapes found in nature that are created in the process of working.
